I am a Course Director on a nation wide course MRCPCHmockEXAM to prepare doctors for their specialist exam, which is typically taken between 5 and 6 years after graduating form University and is called the Paediatric Membership exam or MRCPCH Exam (Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health].

I have taken my examination in 1996 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2006.

The course is held at Northwick Park and relies on the support form many of my patients, their parents and carer.
During the course children with a large variety of medical conditions are examined by the candidates, who have  to present their clinical assessment, diagnosis and management plan to an examination board.

The examination is widely regarded as one of the most difficult examinations in the lifetime of a Paediatrician.

The course does not only help the candidates to prepare for the exam but also teaches them to become better doctors.

I am not ashamed to admit that the course, the real examination, the candidates, the parents and the children invariably also teach me new knowledge and skills and it is one of my highlights every year for my own professional development.
